Update on School Sports

We just wanted to give you an update on where we are at with sports here at Freyberg High School.  Things are changing daily, and we are trying our hardest to keep families updated as we get information.

FOOTBALL:

We have just had an email from Central Football on behalf of Football NZ postponing all events including all TRAININGS till at least the 18th of April.  No Freyberg teams will train until then.  This includes the Girls who were due to train this afternoon and the Junior Boys tomorrow.

NETBALL:

There is NO Netball training for any Freyberg HS teams until at least the 6th of April.

TOUCH:

The season is now over.  Last night was last game.  No finals will be played.

SOFTBALL:

No game tomorrow 19th March, Committee is to meet tonight to decide the future of the competition.

VOLLEY BALL:

Still to be played on Monday with reduced courts.  No spectators.

The following events have been postponed or cancelled:

MISSA – Athletics (Saturday 21st March)

MISS – Swimming (Saturday 21st March)

Volleyball Nationals

Canoe Polo Nationals

NISS – North Island Athletics

Hurricanes Quick Rip tournament

If any students have any questions, please direct them to our sports room.  There is  a lot of misinformation going around at the moment as you can imagine.

We still need students to register for Winter Sports online as hopefully when we do get up and running and we can get straight into things, fingers crossed.
