48 students attended the Year 13 Tourism trip to Rotorua this year to learn about the importance of this industry to the regions of New Zealand.
The destination of Rotorua highlighted how many tourists travel for a geothermal, Maori cultural or adventure (mountain biking, big swing, jetboat, Zorb,) experience.
Students are well prepared to complete their Promotion and Marketing Assessments in class and we enjoyed near perfect weather and a good group of young adults thinking about their futures.
A visit to the NZ School of Tourism campus in Rotorua opened up some future pathways for our students.
Big thanks to Janine Maxey (Y13 Tourism teacher) and Meghan Crawford (Sports Room) for their hard work on this trip.
