This Friday, April 5th is gumboot day! Gumboot day is day that was created by Mike King to raise funds for his Key To Life foundation to give teenagers and children in New Zealand free councilling.

So on April 5th students and teachers are encouraged to wear gumboots to school for the day and pay a gold coin or two. There will games run at lunchtime on the field and a sausage sizzle and a bake sale also, all costing a gold coin!

The winner of the main game will win a Sony Bluetooth Speaker priced at $250, kindly donated by Harvey Norman!!! And the winner of another game winning another Bluetooth speaker priced at $50 kindly donated by the Warehouse!!

There will be spot prizes for people wearing gumboots and/or donating to this amazing cause! The spot prizes are boxes or blocks of chocolate, and a $20 Bluetooth speaker also kindly donated by the warehouse!!!

Our goal as a school is to raise $3000 for this amazing charity so please come along in your gumboots and give a gold coin!! Come on Freyberg #gumbootup
