amazing race 077bYear 13 Recreation Studies ran an Amazing Race interhouse competition combining orienteering with mental and sporting challenges around the school. Fifty pairs of students entered racing to find and complete the seven challenges including puzzles, dart and ball throwing, and even memorising sign language.

Teacher in charge Mr Mori was happy with the organisation of his Year 13 students completing an assessment on event organisation, as well as the effort of those involved.

Head boy Oliver Dunn with junior partner Maddison Hennrie were first home in the morning race for Manawatu House. The afternoon race saw the Kapiti teams dominate with Rawiri Bidios and Kaitlyn Lynch coming in first, however their efforts weren’t enough to stop Manawatu House winning another Interhouse Competition.
